BURNS, Joseph Reginald "Reggie" - 61, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 6, 2014 in Ohio, Digby County. Born in Weymouth on August 16, 1953 he was a son of the late Walter and Bessie (Melanson) Burns. Left with many fond and loving memories are his wife Narise (Cross), step-son Handford Boudreau, Saulnierville; daughter Jolanda, ON; brother Hubert (Shirley), Weymouth, sisters Shirley Hubbard, Yarmouth; Beatrice (Burton) Melanson, Burton; Betty(Dean) McCullough, Gilbert Cove; and Margaret (Alex) Crowe of St. Bernard; as well as grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Walter and Edward; sisters Mary and Minnie. Reggie as everyone knew him by, was a big deer and bird hunter. As per his request Cremation has taken place . A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Peter's Anglican Church, Weymouth on Friday, November 14th at 2:00pm with Rev. Mel Malton officiating. Interment to follow at St. Peters Anglican Church Cemetery. Reception at the home of Margaret Crowe, 4177 Highway #1, Weymouth, following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Reggie made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home, Coldbrook, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive, 902-679-2822.
