Obituary of Korey Alexander Holt

HOLT, Korey Alexander – It is with much sorrow that David & Donda Holt announce the passing of their son Korey Alexander Holt, age 27, on November 15, 2014 at the Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville, Nova Scotia. Korey is survived by his sister Kim (Jamie), Amherst, NS; twin sister Katie (Pat), Peace River, AB; and younger sister Shayla, Fredericton, NB; nephew Joshua, Nana Helen Jane Stevens, Goldboro, NS; grandparents Frank and Helen Holt, Oromocto, NB, aunt Kris Stevens (Clive King) Victoria, BC, and Uncle Dan Holt (Shyanne), Oromocto, NB. Korey was predeceased by maternal grandfather Papa Jim Stevens and paternal grandmother Ruth Holt. Korey was blessed to have a caring respite family Bill and Heather Burke and his three brothers Jeremy, Shane and Craig with whom he did “boys” stuff. We would like to extend our appreciation to all the medical staff, present and retired, of the IWK Children’s Hospital who offered comfort and care to Korey. Special thanks to Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Lorne Lahey and Neurologist Dr. Peter Camfield. We will always remember the love, care and compassion Korey and our family received from the staff of the children’s unit of Evergreen Home for Special Care. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2014, 2pm at Evergreen Home for Special Care. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to the Evergreen Home for Special Care, Children’s Unit or the IWK Children’s Hospital.
