Life Legacy Jackson, Angus Patrick – age 90 years of Greenwood, passed away peacefully at home after living a full and happy life on December 6, 2014. Born in Annapolis Royal on June 11, 1924; he was a son of the late Robert and Margaret (Mitchell) Jackson. Better known as Jim, Boyd or Jackson; he spent a big part of his life travelling around mainly on the west coast. Worked at many different jobs including pipefitting and mechanic; he hauled logs for several years through the Queen Charlotte Islands with a donkey boat. Angus was also a veteran of World War II, serving mainly in Europe and Holland. He enjoyed going to the shore and reminiscing about his days on the water, and spent many hours trading vehicles, woodworking and painting. Inspired by his brother Norman, who is a famous artist, through his early sketch books. He was a great musician and mastered whatever instrument he chose to play, often singing with his brothers Melvin, Herman and Carl. Left with many fond and cherished memories are his brothers Carl (Irene) of Gananoque, ON and Norman of Saint John, NB; sister Norma LeBlanc of Sarnia, ON; sister in law Lillian Jackson of Rothesay, NB and best friend Diane Lewis who were all very important to him; also by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who were all very special to him. Predeceased by his brothers Leonard, Melvin, Earl, Maurice and Herman; sisters Rose “Betty” Jackson, Kay “Girlie” Roche and Dorothy MacDonald. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 2pm from the Kingston Legion, Branch #98. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
