CHASE, Ralph William 85, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2015 at Blomidon Court. Born on December 6, 1929 he was the younger son of the late Wallace Benjamin and Euda Villa Mae (MacDonald) Chase of Brooklyn, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Ralph is survived by his wife of 54 years Blanche (Barry). Predeceased by his brothers Carleton, Fred and Lesley; sisters Beatrice and Margarette (Millen) Fogg. He worked on farms all his life, and worked for Larsens Packers Ltd. for 35 years until he retired at age 65, and hauled garbage from Larsens to the dump for years every morning with his own truck and his wife Blanche helping him. Ralph tended the gardens that Blanche planted at their home and together they sold firewood for years. Visitation will be held on Friday, 16th January 2015 at the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Berwick Funeral Chapel from 7pm-9pm with funeral service being held on Saturday, 17th January at 2pm Rev. Ruby Carter officiating. Burial to follow at the Berwick Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home (Berwick Funeral Chapel), 192 Commercial Street, Berwick (902) 538-9900.
