Burns, Carolyn Alberta - age 64 of Waterville passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital on January 20, 2015. Born in Berwick on October 5, 1950 she was a daughter of the late Robert and Cora (Johnston) Wile.
Carolyn lived in Ontario for many years where she married and had 3 children. She was a stay at home mom and was very involved in their lives (school and extracurricular activities). In 1986 returned to Nova Scotia and began to work at Avon Foods in Berwick for 18 years. Later worked at First Nations in Cambridge. She enjoyed crafting, doing cross stitch, knitting, ceramics and especially cake decorating.
Left with many fond and loving memories are her husband of 44 years Robert, daughter Tammy Anderson (Peter Loomer) of Aylesford , sons Robert (Jennifer) Burns of Greenwood and Christopher (Melissa Murphy) of Aylesford, sister Nina Hiltz of Coldbrook, brothers James (Debbie) Wile of New Minas, Wilson Wile of Coldbrook and Stanley (Suzanne) Wile of Mono Mills, ON. She will be sadly missed by her beloved grandchildren who she was very proud of, Daniel, Nicolas, Emmalee, Kennady, Dylan, Jamie, Braxton, Scout and Jordan; also by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her sister Mary Rhodenizer; sister in law Cecila Wile and brother in law Shirley Hiltz.
In keeping with Carolyn's wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carolyn made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Liver Association would be greatly appreciated by her family.
