RAFUSE, (Geraldine) Clara, 80, of Berwick, passed away with dignity and strength at the Grandview Manor on February 4. 2015. Born May 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Edna (Card) Jordan, Gaspereau Mountain. Clara, also affectionally known as "Jerry", became a nursing assistant at the Sanitorium, Kentville. She loved nursing and excelled at it. She nursed at other hospitals across Canada until she retired to raise her family. Clara was a loving, wise and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Gordon, Berwick; son, Sbruce, Hantsport; granddaughter, Jessica Bouchard, Middleton and great grandson, Caleb Bouchard, Middleton. She was predeceased by daughter, Sandy, siblings Mildred Walsh, Charles Jordan, Lawrence Jordan, Frances Davidson, Nellie Milbury, Raleigh Jordan, Lennlie Jordan, Doris Regan, Gordon Jordan, and Avard Jordan. Clara loved cooking. Whenever she and Gordon visited family and friends, Clara took a plate of goodies to share during the visit. Clara was artistically talented. She used this talent making many wedding cakes during her lifetime. Clara was also musically talented. She played piano and sang in the Berwick Baptist Church choir for several years and also enjoyed attending hymn sings. Clara never complained; she was always positive and cheerful despite many challenges. Clara loved her faith above all, and it was from that sacred source that she was able to find endless strength and to be a cheerful giver. May we all remember Clara's example of how to live life fully. Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home (Berwick Funeral Chapel) from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at Berwick Baptist Church with Rev. Murray Shaw officiating.
