MORISON, William (Bruce) – age 92 of Three Mile Plains, passed away with family by his side on February 20, 2015 at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on September 30, 1922 he was the son of the late Percy and Georgie (Coldwell) Morison. Earlier in his life, Bruce served in the Canadian Navy and then proceeded to own and operate his own dairy farm in Wentworth Road, Windsor until his retirement. In his much younger years he was known as “Rocket” to his hockey team. Bruce was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #9, Windsor. He is survived by his wife Frances, son Mark (Angela), sisters Helen Wilcox, Windsor; Peggy Darroch, California; step-children: Nancy (Dennis) Gudger; Joanne (Danny) Shay, Kathy (Steven) Pugh; Bernie (David Hill) Brown, Pamela Brown, Timothy Brown and Mary (Larry) Graham; 10 step grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his first wife Jean Campbell, brother Jack, sister Barbara Howard, brother-in-law Bob Howard, Jim Wilcox and John Darroch. As per Bruce’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 23 at 2:00p.m. at the St. Thomas Anglican Church, Three Mile Plains with Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Interment will be held at 4:00p.m. in the Maplewood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bruce maybe made to the Diabetic Society or a charity of one’s choice.
