Obituary of Ardythe Pauline Temple
TEMPLE, Ardythe P. (Collins), 91, Aylesford passed away peacefully at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Middleton on 27 February 2015. Born on 23 August 1923 she was a daughter of the late Millage and Frances (Nichols) Collins. Left behind with fond memories is daughter Karen (George) Atkins; son Jeffrey (Keisha); brother Donald (Shirley); grandmother to Derek (Deanna) Atkins; Steven (Rachel) Atkins, and many nieces and nephews. Ardythe was predeceased by husband of 59 years Eric (2008); and sister Esther Phillips. Together over their years Ardythe and Eric loved to travel, especially Florida; also a fan of attending horse shows. She was an animal lover especially horses and dogs; having Quarter Horses, Dobermans, Shetland Sheepdogs and Jack Russell Terriers. Ardythe was an honorary member of the Maritime Quarter Horse Association. She also enjoyed many years working as a Psychiatric Nurse, was a member of the Aylesford United Church, and in her later years developed a love for oil painting. As per her wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service followed by a reception will be held at the Aylesford United Church on Tuesday, 3 March 2015 at 3 p.m., Rev. Brenda McKay officiating. Interment will be at a later date at the Aylesford United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honour to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
