ARSENAULT, Howard J. – 89, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Veteran’s Wing, Middleton surrounded by his loving family. Born in Borden, PEI on December 26, 1925 he was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Cormier) Arsenault. Howard was manager of the Berwick Bakery for many years retiring in December 1990. He was a Member of the Berwick Lions Club, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69, Berwick Town Council and Police Commission. Howard served with the Navy in the Second World War. Surviving are sons Steven (Donna) Fredericton, NB; Rick (Mona), Kingston, NS; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Howard was predeceased by his wife Audrey (2010), son Wayne, sisters Lue Alanac and Hilda Seymour. Visitation for Howard will be at the Berwick Funeral Chapel on Thursday, March 12 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will held on Friday, March 13 at 1:00 p.m., reception to follow at the Lions Centre located at the Apple Dome. Pastor Paul Bannister officiating. Interment in Fredericton at a later date. Donations in Howard’s memory may be made to the Berwick Lions Club or to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Middleton Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, Veteran's Wing.
