LEVY, EDITH MAY – Our beloved Mother and grandmother of Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, formerly of Newport Station, daughter of the late George and Evelyn Chambers passed away Tuesday, March 17th, 2015 at the age of 90. Mom was a kind and caring loving lady who truly enjoyed her family and friends; and will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her. Edith is survived by daughters Carol (Reg) Walsh; Donna (Brian) Slauenwhite; Sharon Levy; sons John (Carol); Michael; sister Joan Turple; brothers George (Molly) Chambers; Lester Chambers; niece Sylvia Murphy, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Medford; son Garnet; sisters Gladys, Geraldine, Marguerite; brothers Ted, Don, Howard, Gordon, Arthur, Harley, Ronnie and grandsons Tim Walsh and Wayne Levy. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Dykeland Lodge, 124 Cottage Street, Windsor on Monday, March 23, 2015 at 2 p.m. with Rev’d Garnet Parker officiating. Reception following the service. Burial will be at a later date. Family flowers only, donations in memory of Edith can be made to Windsor Seniors Citizen Bus Society Friends of Dykeland. Special thanks to Dr. Cathryn Smith for the tender care and to the staff at Dykeland who were truly wonderful to our Mom, god bless each and everyone of you. Mom loved us, and we loved her with all our hearts, you certainly earned your wings Mom.
