Obituary of Gerald Leslie Uhlman

Life Legacy UHLMAN, Gerald Leslie, Age 71 of Lakeville, passed away April 3, 2015 peacefully at home. Gerald was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Born on April 17, 1943 he was the son of late George and Marie (Mailman) Uhlman. Left with fond and loving memories is his wife of 52 years, Pauline (Banks); sons Richard (Michelle) Woodville, NS; Dale (Carol), Woodville, NS; Brenton, Lakeville, NS; brothers Everette (Partner Ester), Pheasant River, NS; Fulton (Sharon) Harmony, NS; George (Helen), Caledonia, NS; Ronald (Debbie) South Brookfield, NS; Sheldon (Betty), Pleasant River, NS, Ivan (Laorie), Caledonia, NS; sisters Ester Ramey, Upper Northfield, NS; Estella (Keith) Naugler, Camper Town, NS; Janette (Doug) Wolfe, Caledonia, NS; Margaret Levy, Berwick, NS; Bertha Faulkham, Bakers Settlement, NS; Sheila (Brian) Smith, New Ellen, NS; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Gerald was predeceased by son Leslie Gerald; brother Vincent; brother-in-laws Garth, Kennie, and Rayburne; sister-in-law Wanetta; nieces Charmine Levy and Tracey Naugler. Although struggling with illness for 45 years, he prided himself on his work and was excellent with his hands – whether it was building furniture, or tinkering with a motor. He will be truly missed by all of his loved ones, but will never be forgotten. As per requested cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at noon in the Berwick Funeral Chapel (192 Commercial St.,) with Rev. Christina Bigelow officiating, reception to follow. Donations may be made to the Kings County Melba Walker Kidney Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
