PORTER, Frank Kinsman, Age 87 of Port Williams, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2015 in the Valley Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on January 9, 1928 he was the son of the late Starr and Bessie (Porter). Frank is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Helen (Jess); sons Eric, David (Evie), Michael (Elaine); daughters Linda (Owen) Jordan, Marilyn; sister Eileen (Ron) Trevors; brother Lorimer (Barbara Ann);eight grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren Predeceased by two grandchildren Rebecca and Jason Jordan, and daughter-in-law-Madeline. Frank was a long-time farmer on Belcher Street, Port Williams. He was also the Superintendent of Sunday School at the Kentville Baptist Church for over 25 years; as well as one of the original founders of the Co-op Funeral Home. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2015 2-4p.m.,7-9p.m. in the Coldbrook Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 2p.m. in the Kentville United Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Gordon Sutherland officiating. Burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Valley Regional Hospice Foundation.
