Obituary of Thomas Wane Dorey

Dorey, Thomas Wane “Tom” Age 67 of New Ross passed away suddenly at his home on May 17, 2015. Born in New Ross Tom was the son of Mary (Naugler) Dorey and the late Russell George Dorey. Tom owned and operated Tom Dorey’s Used Cars and Trucks in New Ross for the past thirty plus years. He was a Member of the New Ross Royal Canadian Legion. Tom is survived by his son Thomas “Tommy”, New Ross; daughters Thomasina, Halifax and Crystal, New Ross; brothers Arthur, Chester; Rodney, Chester Basin; David, Aldersville; Russell Jr., New Ross; sisters Shirley Davis, Aylesford, Dora Veinot, Wentzell Lake; Donna Benoit, Fox Island River, NF; Kathy Levy, New Ross, Judy Wile, Lower Vaughan; Barbara McCluskey, Middle Musquodoboit; Frances Reid, Chaswood; Mary Lucille Dorey, New Ross; grandchildren Jamie and Jessie; and his close friend Kenny, New Ross. Tom is also survived by his best friends and buddies Maggie and Missy (predeceased by best friend and buddy Molly). A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 - 11am at the Christ Anglican Church, New Ross, Rev. Judi Phillips officiating. A Reception will follow at the New Ross Legion. Donations may be made in Tom’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetic Association.
