Obituary of Donald Wilson Sanford

Life Legacy SANFORD, Donald Wilson, Age 92, of Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Haliburton Place, Windsor. Born on July 17, 1922 in Cogmugun, he was the son of the late Oscar and Rose(Sanford) Sanford. He was an employee of Ben’s Bakery for more than 30 years. Don was also employed by the Province of Nova Scotia as a Supervisor at the Haliburton Museum. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Hazel (Church) Rattray; a daughter Gail, sons Garvin and Garth; and by his former wife and the mother of his children Winnie Belton of Gypsum Mines. Don was predeceased by a son Laurie, three brothers and three sisters. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 2p.m. at the Lower Vaughan Cemetery, Pastor Craig Faulkner officiating.
