Potter, Otis (Flash) Alfred; 60 of Digby. It is with heavy hearts that Flash's family announce his passing on Saturday, May 30th, 2015; after fighting a long battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side. Born in Digby, he was the son of the late Owen & Miriam (Titus) Potter. Flash was employed as a truck driver all his life. Last employed by J.W. Gaunce Ltd. (Eassons). Survived by his loving wife Suzanne (Doucette) Potter, devoted father to Dwayne, Digby; & Gaylene, Smith's Cove. He was Bippa to his precious grandsons James & Asher, whom he cherished dearly. He will be sadly missed by his brother Glen (Barney) & Sharon of Digby; his in laws Mary Rose & Roger Doucette of Yarmouth; his 5 sister in laws & 2 brother in laws; their families and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister, Florence; and brothers Murray, Carl, Bill, Clayton and Alan. He would want to be remembered as a devoted husband of 37 years, loving father and grandfather. He was an avid fan of Nascar and antique car shows. Flash volunteered for the Lobster Bash and was always willing to offer a helping hand. He cherished get-togethers with friends and family. Family visitations were held June 2nd, 2015. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 5th, 2015 at 1p.m. at the Grace United Church, located on Prince William Street in Digby. Diane Axent officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery, Digby. A reception will follow in the church hall. Flowers accepted or in lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Lodge That Gives, VON, Palliative Care Digby or a charity of your choice. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Yarmouth Cancer Clinic, Dr. Hollenhorst, Dr. Reilly, VON- Amanda Thibault & Palliative Care. As well to Wanda Mosher, and Sharon & Glen.
