MAPPLEBECK, Rhona Elizabeth of Aylesford passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Wolfville Nursing Home. Born on December 7, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Madeline (Patterson) Mapplebeck. Rhona was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church and had been a client at Beehive Adult Service Centre in Aylesford for many years; attending there was the joy of her life. She is survived by sister-in-law Molly Mapplebeck, Mississauga, nephews Derick, Bruce and Trevor Mapplebeck and their families, Ontario; also cousins and many friends. Predeceased by brother Thorald. Special thanks to the staff of the Beehive for the wonderful care and love they gave Rhona. Also special thanks to all the many people who helped Rhona remain for 27 years in her own apartment at Sandy Cove Apartments. There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 8 at 2:30p.m. at the Aylesford Baptist Church with Pastor Clyde Lowe and Rev. Don Rafuse officiating. Reception to follow with Interment at Aylesford Union. Donations may be made to Aylesford Baptist Church or to the Victorian Order of Nurses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home (Berwick Funeral Chapel) (902) 538-9900.
