The family of Anna Mae Roefs (Schroeder), 71, of Berwick are saddened to report news of her passing on June 20, 2015 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax. Anna Mae was born to the late William and Anna (Murphy) Schroeder in Halifax on June 8, 1944. She is survived by her husband John Roefs; daughters Elizabeth (Andrew) Roefs of Greenwood, and Katrina (Tyler) Roefs-Walsh of Berwick; sisters Joyce (the late Kenneth) Hiltz of Berwick, Paulette Schroeder of Berwick, her brother Joseph (Mary) Schroeder of Coldbrook, and numerous loving nieces, nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by brother William "Bill" Schroeder, and sister Eleanor Eagle. Anna Mae was an active member of her community and church. She was always known for being happy, loving, putting others first, having a smile on her face and always having a hug to give. Anna Mae was a beautiful person who many will miss. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, from 7pm-9pm with Prayers at 8pm in the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Berwick Funeral Chapel, Berwick, NS. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 25, at 11AM at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, Berwick. Donations in memory may be made to Open Arms, Berwick or the Berwick Food Bank, family flowers only please.
