Obituary of James Anthony

ANTHONY, “GARFIELD” JAMES, 86, of East Uniacke passed away at Ivy Meadows, Beaver Bank on Sunday, June 21, 2015. Born on August 26, 1928 he was the son of Putman and Margaret (White) Anthony. Survived by wife of 45 years Helen (Moore); his children Willie (Sue) Ayr, ON; Bobby (Colleen) Chester, NS; James (Jennifer) Middle Sackville, NS; Marion, Beaver Bank, NS; Christine, Ellershouse, NS; Tracy (Michael) Mount Uniacke, NS; Lorna Halifax, NS; Rose, British Columbia; Elmer, Halifax, NS; Thelma, Halifax, NS and Eric, Halifax, NS. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Kerri, Jeffrey, Andrew, Megan, Mackenzie, Noah, Jaxson, Jada, Gavin, Niki, Amanda, Wayne as well as 8 great grand-children. “Garfield” was the last surviving member of his immediate family. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 from 7-9pm at the Uniacke Baptist Church, 200 Etter Road; where a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 2pm, Rev. Alan Orser officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's United Church Cemetery, North Beaver Bank. Family flowers only by request.
