Obituary of Joyce M. Hazelwood

HAZELWOOD, Joyce Marie, 59, Kingston, went to be with the Lord at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on July 16, 2015. Joyce was the beloved wife and best friend of 39 years to Harley William Hazelwood and the wonderful mother to Colin and Megan. Born December 9th, 1955 the late Pearl (Estabrooks) Flinn and John Edward Flinn in Fredericton, NB. Joyce was a person who loved life. She took particularly great joy from music & reading and cared very much about everyone’s wellbeing even animals big and small. Joyce often showed her love through cooking and baking. Her favorite place to relax and be peaceful was near the ocean in Margaretville. She will be dearly missed by husband Harley Hazelwood, Kingston NS, son Colin (Gen) Moncton NB, daughter Megan (Ricky) Auburn NS, father John E Flinn (Anne) Fredericton NB, brother John P Flinn (Barb) Taymouth NB, sister Maureen Flinn (Tovey) Fredericton NB, brother Scott Flinn Fredericton NB, favorite aunt & uncle Gerald and Joyce Estabrooks Fredericton NB, and many nieces and nephews. Joyce is predeceased by mother Pearl Flinn and brother Larry Flinn. As per requested cremation has taken place. There will be a Visitation on Monday, July 20 from 7p.m.-9p.m. at the Trinity Pentecostal Church, 468 Central Avenue, Greenwood where a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, July 21 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Mitch Lewis officiating. The family would like to request that any donations be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of sending flowers.
