Obituary of Albert Courtney Pineo

PINEO, Albert Courtney – With deep sorrow and regret we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Albert Courtney Pineo on August 3, 2015 at the Valley Regional Hospital, with his wife Frances by his side. Born on November 13, 1946 he was the son of the late Clark and Isabel (Carter) Pineo of Canning. Albert was the loving husband and best friend of Frances (Corkum); proud father of Austin (Joy), Tausha (Jeff) and Leah Marie. “Grampa” to Cody and Jagar, “Bompa” to Koltin and Hailey and proud Great Grampa to Alice Grace; a brother to James (Marion); Phillip (Marilyn); Julia (Arthur) Dykens of Canning and Wava (Maurice) Rafuse (deceased), of Arthur, Ontario. Predeceased by brothers Hartley, Audley and sister Mary Kerr. Albert was a great lover of Ross Creek and spent great times there over the past years fishing with Austin and Joy, enjoying the company of family and friends and all the tellers of those “big lies” men will tell when in each others company. He enjoyed his trips whale watching and travelling to Parrsboro with his family. Alberts' puppy “Jessie” will miss him greatly as well. The family would like to thank the Dialysis Units of the QEII and Berwick for their support over the past 5 years. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service followed by a reception will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 2:00p.m. at the Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville; Rev. Gary Manthorne will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hillaton Cemetery. Donations in memory of Albert may be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of your choice.
