Teresa & Family
We cannot express our sadness at Ians passing. We cant count the days and miles spent walking our dogs with both you and Ian. He always had a tale, always had a good word, always expressed a positive thought and always questioned the norm.
He will be missed.

My deepest condolences to Teresa and family. Although we have not been in touch for a long time I remember with fondness the get togethers and parties when we lived across the street from you. And of course Michelle was our 1 babysitter. May the memories of your time together help you all to get through this difficult time.

Teresa,
I am so numb. I read about Ian early this am and was shocked. Had such a cry. Ian was a good man...always a smile with "How are you my love? with a wink and huge grin. We had such great conversations...neither one in any rush to end the talks. Marriages, children, the grandchildren, separations and the passing of mom you were both there for myself and the children. How many chats did we have? Walks across the street and talked on corners, borrowing gardening tools, a ring on the doorbell just to check in and see that things were alright and get caught up with life when we had not seen each other for awhile. Ian was always there to lend a hand and an ear. He was a great listener and storyteller. All has changed. I was so pleased to see both of you at the nursery early this summer with Carl and I. You both saw happiness at last with us...but I knew in my heart that I an was not well and I could feel it in his hug and looking at his face...but he was always quick to change the subject when it came to his health. I will miss him dearly...maybe he can give mom a hug for me. I will tell Dad and he too will feel the loss...such a good friend to dad. Teresa, please remember I am not far away and I will be up to see you and we will talk, all my love...Sending a big hug,
Lesley

I knew "Mr. Mckie" for 35 years. During that time he allowed me to tag along with his family on numerous camping trips, eaten great quantities of his groceries, and hang out for extended periods of time in his house
(amoung several other "louts").
During all of those times, I cant recall ever seeing him in a bad mood and he always had a friendly way about him that made you feel welcome.
I will always have good memories of Mr. Mckie, he will be missed.
