Life Legacy ZWICKER, Maxwell Norman - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maxwell Zwicker on October 1, 2015 in Camp Hill Veterans’ Memorial Building, QEII. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his loving family. He will be remembered and missed. Born in Mill Village, he was the son of Charles Henry Zwicker and Bessie Mary Hubley. He was a veteran of the Second World War, and served in the Merchant Navy for 12 years; the army for 26 years; and worked for the civil service for 10 years. He belonged to the Merchant Navy Association and was a member of the Bedford Legion. He is survived by his wife, Christel Anna Frekes; his sons, Ralph, Peter, Norman, and their families, including six grandchildren. Visitation will take place Saturday, October 10th at 10 a.m. in St. Mark’s Anglican Church, Halifax. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. John K. Morrell officiating. Memorial donations may be made to The Lung Association Nova Scotia. Special thanks to the nurses of 4 West in the Veterans’ Memorial Building.
