MCINTYRE, David Alan - 64, Truro - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David who passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 17, 2015 at Colchester East Hants Health Centre. He will be remembered and missed. Born 1951 in Halifax, he was the son of Marjorie Edith (Webster) McIntyre, Kingston and the late Alan McIntyre. Survived by his daughter, Courtney Slauenwhite, Wolfville; sister, Alana McIntyre, Bridgetown; brothers, Cary McIntyre (Angela) Wilmot; Eugene McIntyre, Kingston; brother-in-law Gord Gray, Petawawa, Ont.; nieces, Melissa Gray, Petawawa, Ont.; Blair McIntyre, Petawawa, Ont.; and nephew, Devan McIntyre, Kingston, special friend, Eleanor Lynds, Truro. Predeceased by his sister, Beverly Gray (2012) and long time canine road companion Chance (2009). He served in the Canadian Navy CFB, Halifax and worked for the civil service at 14 Wing Greenwood. He was a long haul trucker for many years; an accomplished bowler, and enjoyed playing darts and bingo throughout the Atlantic region. Cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service, officiated by Rev. Paul Jennings, will be held at the North Kingston Cemetery on Friday, October 23 at 2p.m., with a reception to follow at All Saints Anglican Church, Pleasant St., Kingston. Memorial donations in Davids name may be made to your local SPCA. Special thanks to the nurses of the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Palliative Care Ward and Colchester East Hants Hospice.
