FRANCIS, YVON E. 92, Forest Hill, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Quebec on September 12, 1923 he was the son to Ernest and Emma (Bezeau) Francis. Surviving is his wife Phyllis (Clowry); daughters, Denyse (Fernand Larocque); Jocelyne (Jim Cameron); Sylvie, Diane, Daniele Francis; Johanne (Rene Dumouchel); Elaine Francis (Marc Berube); Brenda Pineo; Nancy (Peter Schofield); Monique Francis; Nicolle (Grant Muir); sons Jean-Yvon (Luc Archambault); Alain Francis (Diane Bellerose); Pierre (Maripier Roy); Gary and Kevin Pineo; forty-six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Yvon worked as a Chef for the Canadian Military for numerous years.
A Visitation will be held at the Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Wolfville Chapel on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 6:00p.m.-8:30p.m.; where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 24 at 2:00p.m., Rev. Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial to follow at the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Donations in Yvon's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Cancer Society.
