It is with great sadness that the family of Eleanor Bernice (Pierce) Tree, age 63, announce her passing on November 2, 2015, at the VG Hospital, Halifax. Born on October 2, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Max and Peggy (Davis) Pierce. Eleanor was a passionate gardener, also a 4-H Leader who dedicated 28 years of volunteering with the future agricultural leaders of Nova Scotia. Leaving behind with fond and loving memories is her husband of 41 years, Donald; daughter, Donalda (John) Westcott, Marion Bridge; son, Matthew (Carrie), Waterville; sisters, Jennifer, Margaret, Marsha; granddaughters Breanna and Grace. Predeceased by brother Mac Pierce. In memory of Eleanor you could plant a tree, or donations can be made to the Western Kings 4-H Club, c/o Mary Magee (Welsford, NS) or the Lodge That Gives, Halifax, NS. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Coldbrook (902) 679-2822.
