Would like to send our sincere
sympathies to the family of Dean ... The last time I spoke with Dean was at the Christmas Dinner we had at the Historical Society. It was so nice to see him after so many years and we were so glad that dad was able to attend the last dinner at that time as well.. Eleanor and Lesley Barkhouse

Sending love out to all of Uncle Deans family.
Uncle Dean was a rare gem of a man - like all of the Reeves brothers. He ran the Stihl shop on the Forties Road for years, although one might argue that more games of cards were played in the shop than actual chainsaw repairs. He and his family open up their back field every year to host our Reeves Family Reunion at the site of the old homestead and were the first to arrange for the huge water slide made from plastic down the side hill - lots of great childhood memories.
Sympathy and love to his immediate family and love to Aunt Sibbie, Uncle Park and Grandpa (Ashton). The Reeves were always tight knit - not always getting to visit and talk as much as they liked due to busy lives and such - however a greater example of sibling and extended family love would be hard to find.
Rest in Peace Uncle Dean - you finally have your angel wings and your earthly suffering has ended.

Dear Treva, Mona, Laurenda, Christopher, Margeson and families;
I want to express my condolences to the entire Reeves family during this very difficult time. Im sure it brings great comfort knowing Dean was ready and is in a much better place. I have fond memories of Dean and the many family get-togethers that he enjoyed so much. He seemed to find the most pleasure in life when spending time with his family and many friends...especially the family reunions which Im sure will never be the same without him. He will be missed by many...
Im sure it brought him great comfort having his families constant support and help during his final days.

I guess, my first memory of Dean is seeing him work on Dads(Chester)powersaw in a small shop on the Lantz property. After repairing saw there for awhile he build his own shop. Dad bought my first saw from Dean and whenever it needed work on it all I had to do is step outside of the house and listen to hear a powersaw being worked on by Dean as he was trying it out by cutting up firewood. Many times when I walked into the shop there was a card game happening and Dean would say I have a look at the saw as soon as this game is over. If Dean had a quarter for ever game of cards played on that old card table, you would be able to carry them all. Dean showed me how to file a saw, but I guess I was not listening very well, as he showed me time and time again until I got it right. Whats Dean doing right now, well my guess is; some where there is an old card table with Cliff & Dean, and Ray & Chester biding more then whats in their hand.
