Amero, Aubrey Eugene -74 of West Dalhousie Rd., formerly of Ontario, passed away suddenly on January 29th, 2016, at home with his wife at his side.
Born in Middleton on July 19th, 1941, he was the son of the late Scott and Christina Amero. He spent most of his working life trucking for several different companies, travelling across Canada and the United States. Along with his wife, he returned to Nova Scotia in 2006 to enjoy retirement.
Aubrey loved to go camping with family and friends, attending country music jam sessions all throughout the Valley and especially enjoyed teasing all the ladies, young and old.
Aubrey is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jacqueline (Lapensee) sons, Mike (Pam), Leonard (Wanda), Jimmy (Marie), Scott (Kelly) stepson, Mike (Leah) and stepdaughter, Chantelle (Richard). He will be missed by 14 grandchildren as well as 4 great grandchildren.
Aubrey is also survived by brothers Alan, Buddy and Dean, sisters Irene, Stella and Joyce.
Besides his parents, Aubrey was predeceased by brothers Sheldon and Arnold as well as a sister, Doris.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home and Chapels (Coldbrook). Cremation has taken place. As per Aubrey’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in his memory can be made to a charity of choice.
