Pauline J. Sawler (1938 - 2016) Lawson Sawler (1932 - 2016)
Northville, Kings County, passed away January 29, 2016.
Pauline, born September 6, 1938, was the daughter of Kenneth and Leila (Corbin) Crandall. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Bazil (Anne) Crandall. She is survived by her brother Bud (Donna) Crandall, Lower Sackville.
Lawson, born August 17, 1932, was the son of Clifton and Leona (Sherman) Sawler. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Gloria (Boyd) Illsley, and his brother Merle (Mary Lou) Sawler. He is survived by his sister Patricia (Calvin) Bursey, Ottawa, and his brother Reginald (Roberta) Sawler, Lakeville.
They were also predeceased by a grandson, Shane Lee Sawler. They are survived by their children Kenneth (Pat), Calgary; Donald, Calgary; Judy (Tim), Sunken Lake; and Larry (Margaret), Berwick; and two grandchildren Katie (Chad), Kentville, and Jay, Vancouver.
Lawson was a self-employed farmer until the late 1970s, after which he drove a dump truck and farmed Christmas trees. Lawson was a founding director of the Northville Farm Heritage Centre in Northville and enjoyed spending time working there and attending events. He was also proud owner of several International Farmall tractors that he restored and showed at the Heritage Centre.
Pauline was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the farm. She was also an avid gardener, passionate about her flowers and vegetables. She also loved feeding and watching the birds in her yard, especially the hummingbirds.
As per Pauline and Lawson’s wishes, no visitation or funeral will be held. A private family service will be held at a later date at the Lakeview Cemetery in Lakeville, Kings Co.
