Obituary of Marion Margaret Urich

URICH, Marion Margaret, 76 Marion (nee Jerrett) Urich died on February 6, 2016 at the Abbey Lane Palliative Care Unit in Halifax. Born in Brigus NL to the late Ernest Jerrett and Mary Gill, Marion moved to Louisbourg NS with former spouse, John Urich, in 1962. Marion loved music, performing in theatre, entertaining, and was the life of the party, playing piano and singing everyone’s favourites. An accomplished musician, she was choir director and organist of the Stella Maris Parish for over 30 years. She is survived by her children Teresa, Louisbourg, John (Karen), Dartmouth, Jill (Allan), Halifax, and Nancy (Seth), West Pennant. Grandchildren Jack (Sorren), Alex, Ruby, Charles, Jenny, Maddy, Willy, Joey and Woodrow. Also surviving are sisters Dan, Pat, Lynn and Nancy, half-sisters Grace and Ruth Alice, and half-brothers George and Charles. She was predeceased by her son Tony, sister Betty, half-sister Mary-Elaine and half-brothers Wilburt and Dave. Cremation has taken place, a service will be held in Louisbourg this summer.
