Obituary of Leslie Wagner

Leslie Everett Wagner, 88 of Berwick, NS. It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Leslie Everett Wagner on March 31, 2016. He was born in Victory, NS on May 19, 1927. Leslie enjoyed fishing, playing cards, gardening and visiting with family and friends. He was a woodsman and he worked for 33 years in the Food Services at Cornwallis and continued to cook and bake throughout his years. He is survived by son Wayne (Jackie) Salisbury, NB, daughter Sheila (Gerald) Porter, Fredericton, NB, and son Roger (Donna) Kentville, NS. Grandchildren, Tracy (Doug) Sears, Paul (Cally Hardy) Wagner, Salisbury, NB, David (Liz) Wagner, Monks Risborough, UK, Michelle (Tony) Mazerolle, Scott (Alesha) Porter, Fredericton, NB, and Stacey Wagner, Kentville, NS, sisters Dorothea Stark and Blanche Hewey of Digby, NS. He was predeceased by wife of 59 years Elizabeth “Betty” in 2007 and by an infant daughter Linda, also father and mother Roy and Eva (Darres) Wagner, brothers Maynard (Mable) and Sonny Wagner, and sisters, Marie (Maurice) Milbury, Mable (Don) Woodman, Margaret Wagner and brother-in-law Robert Stark. He was known as Papa to great grandchildren Grant and Andrew Mazerolle, Haleigh Sears, Brianna Porter, Brayden and Elliot Mean, and Sam and James Wagner. A special thank you to the staff of Orchard View/ Grandview Manor and VRH for their excellent care of Dad. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home and Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Drive, Coldbrook, NS (902-679-2822). There will be no visitation by request of the family. A graveside service and internment will take place at the Clementsvale Cemetery at a later date.
