Obituary of Roy Cyril Faltenhine

Faltenhine, Roy Cyril – 81 passed away at Glasgow Hall, Shannex, in Dartmouth on March 31. Roy was born in Halifax on April 26, 1934. He was the son of the late John Henry and Gertrude "Pauline" (Hiltz) Faltenhine. He was predeceased by his sister Marilyn and brothers Alvin and Orville "Mickey". He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by his wife of 59 years, Jeanette (Morrison), his daughter Linda (Dale) Smith and son Peter Faltenhine. He loved and was very proud of his grandchildren Christopher (Andrea) Smith, Porters Lake, Jason (Johanna) Smith, Woodstock, NB and Amanda (Brendan) Trainor, Eastern Passage and his great granddaughter Leia, Woodstock, NB. Roy is survived by his brother Carl, Dartmouth and his sister Jeanne, Vancouver, BC and several nieces and nephews. He worked with the CNR in several different departments for 20 years, worked for several Magazines and ran several different Service Stations (Fina, Texaco and Petro-Can) over 30 years. He loved his cars, travelling and outdoor yard working. The family greatly thanks the Doctor, management and staff of Glasgow Hall, Parkland, for their exceptional care, compassion and love they gave to Roy and his family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Coldbrook Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Road (902-679-2822) Cremation has taken place. Reverend Phillip will officiate the funeral service at the Woodlawn United Church in Dartmouth on Monday May 9 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception.
