Obituary of Christine Katherine Burrell

Christine Katherine Burrell, 39 of Kentville, NS passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the QEII Health Science Centre in Halifax, NS Chrissy was born in Kentville and lived her whole life there. She has been a wonderful sister, loving mother and an amazing full of life friend to all. Her infectious beautiful smile lit up the room and left a mark on everyone she met. To most of her friends she was known as "Burrell". She was blessed to be a part of a large and loving family. Her son, Kayin, was the light of her life. Chrissy had worked hard to achieve the life and career she wanted. She has worn many hats in the field of care giving with a direct focus in the Education field. She became an Educational Assistant working in many schools, then recently became full time at Aldershot Elementary. While still working as a Residential Support Staff at the Adult Residential Centre in Bridgetown, NS. Chrissy was very good at her job, took pride in her work and loved to help people in need. Chrissy is survived by her son Kayin, partner Richard, father Gerald Burrell, mother Betty Morgan-Burrell, honorary second moms Milly Harper and Ella Fletcher, sisters Deb Wiles, Patti (Tong) Rogers, Susan (Jermaine) Burrell, The "Hatchback" Brothers and Sisters: Cindy, Mark, Trevor, Michele, Megan, Matthew; nieces and nephews: Isaiah, Jamya, Javon, Jalaya, Janaysha, Devon, Tyra, Keegan, Lilah, Grayson and great niece Avah. She was predeceased by her infant son Marquis Edward Burrell. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Wolfville Funeral Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville (902-542-4656). A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm in the Wolfville Funeral Chapel with a reception to follow. Commital will be in the Elm Grove Cemetary in Steam Mill, NS. Memorial donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
