Doris M. Taylor, 86 of Colorado Springs, died peacefully on April 28, 2016. She was born in Framingham, MA on June 21, 1929, the daughter of Allan and Annie (Lewis) Metherall of Prince Edward Island. In 1953, she married Larry (aka Laurie) Raymond Taylor of Coldbrook, NS, and they settled in Holliston, MA. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Holliston and was the founding director of the Holliston Christian Kindergarten (now Holliston Christian Preschool). She also worked for many years at the Dennison warehouse facility in Holliston. Doris was preceded in death by her husband Larry in 2010 and is survived by her sister Mary Smith and her husband Charles of Massachusetts; son Robert and wife Teresa of Colorado, their son Sean; son Brian and wife Gail of California, their children Christopher (Jennifer), Jessica, and Andrew (Kelly), and a great-grandson, Liam. She delighted family members with her handmade quilts, and was noted for her kindness and help to others. She will be greatly missed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Coldbrook Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Drive (902-679-2822). A Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Elm Grove Cemetery on Aldershot Road in Steam Mill, officiated by Pastor David Bielby of the Kentville United Baptist Church. Relatives and Friends are welcome. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of One's Choice.
