Audrey Louise (Romans) Walsh – 64 – Hants Border, Kings County, N.S. passed away on July 9, 2016 at home with her family by her side. Born September 29, 1951, in Wolfville, she was the daughter of Margaret Catherine (Allen) Romans and the late Gerald Henry Romans. After graduating from Horton High School, Audrey enrolled in the Nova Scotia Teachers College in Truro, N.S. While there she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and thus was unable to complete the course. In her younger years, before the ravages of MS took its toll Audrey loved to camp and swim, especially at Ponhook Lodge. She enjoyed cooking everything from delicious main courses to scrumptious desserts. Her many interests also included making quilts (one of which now keeps her mother warm at night) and latch hooking. She was a member of the Hantsport Baptist Church and along with her brother, Bill, sang in the choir. Audrey is survived by mother, Margaret (Allen) Romans, brother William (Bill) Romans both of Hants Border, an uncle, aunts and many cousins. Also surviving are her son, Shawn and her husband John, both of British Columbia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Wolfville Chapel, 568 Main Street Wolfville (902-542-4656). There will be no visitation by request. Memorial Service will be held July 14, 2016 at 2:30 pm in the Hantsport Baptist Church. Family flowers only, please. Burial will take place in Gaspereau Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Audrey's memory may be made to Hantsport Baptist Church, Palliative Care, the VON or a charity of one's choice.
