Obituary of Frances Elaine Kinsman

Please share a memory of Frances to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kinsman, Frances Elaine (Vaughan) of Berwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on August 1, 2016. She was the light and love in our lives and will be remembered with joy and gratitude for her enduring, unconditional love and beautiful spirit; she is cherished and grievously missed. Surviving is her devoted husband, Willis Kinsman, Berwick; daughter Shirley (Linda) Kelly (Dr. Mike), Ingonish; son Robert (Bob) Demers (Marlene and Dylan), Calgary; brother John Vaughan (Ellen), Liverpool; stepdaughters, Betty Stewart (Rob), London, ON; Lynn Winter (Ken), Bridgetown; granddaughter Jessica, great grandson Levi, Truro; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving father, Gerald Vaughan, and brother Lawrence Vaughan. Frances had an innate compassion and desire to help those in need. She was passionate about her career in nursing with the elderly, and repeatedly spoke of the happiness and fulfillment it brought her. She was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church and The MacPherson Auxiliary. Her love of music kept her guitar and fiddle nearby. She was also a participant with the Kings Fiddlers and enjoyed many years of square dancing with the Belles 'n' Beaus. She and Willis had great pleasure travelling to music festivals and antique car shows in their RV; they were well known enthusiasts in the antique car club community. Her family extends their praise and appreciation to the staff of Shannex Orchard Court, Kentville, for the tenderness and unsurpassed level of care with which they surrounded her during her residence there. Thank you all dearly, including Dr. Targett. Our heartfelt thanks to special neighbours Loretta and Phillip, and Jo and Mark, for their unwavering support throughout this difficult time for us. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Berwick Chapel, 192 Commercial Street, Berwick (902-538-9900). Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.
