It is with great sadness that the family of Everdeen "Buster" Charles Lohnes, 90 of Bridgewater, announce his passing on Friday October 21, 2016 in the South Shore Regional Hospital in Bridgewater, NS. He was born in Voglers Cove, NS on December 22, 1925 and was the son of the late Charles and Cassie (Nauss) Lohnes. He is survived by his loving and loyal wife of 69 years, Myrtle Florence Lohnes; his children Barbara (David) Lohnes, Phillip (Rita) Lohnes, Charles (Wanda) Lohnes, Vivian (Leonard) Lohnes-Thibeault and Trudy (Paul) Lockhart; grandchildren Charmaine, Jodi, David, Mathew, Arron, Nicholas, Shanice and Jackie; great-grandchildren Emily, Jordan, Chase, Cody, Jaden and Jasmine; also, survived by his only brother Ralston (Sue) Lohnes of Voglers Cove, NS. Everdeen was predeceased by his parents, infant daughter Alberta Rose Lohnes, great-granddaughter Brandy Lohnes and sisters Kathleen Teal and Eleanor Carey. Everdeen was employed with National Sea Products, Lunenburg, NS for 46 years and as Sea Captain for 35 years. He was also an active member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1975. His warm smile and sense of humor was shared with everyone that would meet him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr (902-679-2822). A Service will be held on November 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Italy Cross Fire Hall. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.
