Marguerite Octavus Corkum, age 81, of Black Rock died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Valley Regional Hospital of Kentville, NS. She was born March 8, 1935 in Berwick, NS, and is the daughter of the late Albert and the late Florence (Higgons) Schnare. She married Richard Joseph Corkum on June 1, 1965 at Waterville Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband Richard; son Robert (Tammi) of Thunder Bay, ON; sisters Cora, Grace and Elaine; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Marguerite was predeceased by her brothers William, Harold and Clarence.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, Berwick Chapel, 192 Commercial Street Berwick (902-538-9900). A visitation will take place on December 9, 2016 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the Berwick Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on December 10, 2016 at 2:30 pm in the Black Rock United Baptist Church. Family Flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Black Rock Cemetery Fund.
