Margaret Rose Corkum (Forest), 78 of Kentville, NS passed away peacefully in Shannex Orchard Court, Kentville on January 13, 2017. Born on May 23, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Evelyn (Hushen) Forest.
Margaret will be remembered for her kindness and warmth. She and her late husband Paul were high school sweethearts and married shortly after graduation. They were foster parents for 17 years and during this time they fostered over 100 children.
Margaret is survived by sons Dougie and Joey; daughters Carolyn (Richard) Stiles of New Minas; Pam (Wayne) Robicheau of Cambridge; Tammy (Wayne) Pye of North Alton; grandchildren Cory; Paul; Juanita; Kayley; Justin and Jenny; great grandchild Vincent; other grandchildren, family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents; loving husband Paul Willis Corkum; daughter Patsy and granddaughter Lori-Lyn.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr (902-679-2822). A Memorial Service will be held on January 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Waterville Congregation, 5431 Highway #1, Waterville, NS. The family has requested no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Waterville Jehovah's Witness Congregation or the Nova Scotia Diabetes Association.
