I have fond memories of my summers spent with Aunt Alice and Uncle Garnet on the farm in Blomidon. She made the best cookies! From the two of them, I learned how to "pick" potatoes, apples, strawberries and, yes, even participated in the hay and straw bailing and collecting. I still have an apple blossom quilt Aunt Alice made for us as a wedding present.
I'm sure many of her nieces and nephews have similar remembrances of her!
