Arthur Strong Parker 84 - of New Minas, Kings County passed away Saturday March 11, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Raised in Waterville, NS he was a son of the late Rupert and Clara Parker.
Art - "Pudgey" was a father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. Well known for his sense of humour, you could find him every morning socializing over his coffee at Burger King. He had a special place in his heart for bluegrass music and enjoyed playing the mandolin.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 39 years, Debbie; children Chris(Christine) Parker, Roy(Elaine) Parker, Linda(Don) Fairbrother, Carol(Alan) Dill and stepdaughter April Salsman; 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother Rupert, sons Wayne and Ron and his first wife Doreen.
The family would like to thank Dr. Burch and the team on Med A for their kind and compassionate care.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Serenity Lindsay funeral home. There will be no service by request and a private family burial will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Lindsay Annapolis Valley Funeral Home & Chapels, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
