My heart goes out to all of you, I only met Lindsay very briefly when she brought some food to a Nursing conference at the VG. She was lovely and we talked for a while about vegan cooking, I told her that I would call her someday to make me a vegan cake. Well today was that day, I called her number, obviously no longer in service. I looked for her and found the obituary. I have no words to comfort you except that in the 20 minutes or so that we talked she resonated with me and I wanted to buy from her in the future. She was a lovely young lady and I can only imagine your pain.

Lindsay....... My Rock! My sister by choice, my best friend, my biggest fan! My Hero, My inspiration, my honest opinion when I needed one, my reality check when I needed that too.
You were so many so many great things... and such an amazing friend, I spent this last year ... not forgetting, not moving on... not coping....
just reliving all the times we shared, all the memories I was so blessed to make with you. If I could change our last Conversation i would simply have said the words....
Boo I love you thank you for being a part of my life!
I’m sorry those were not our last words.
Tho your not here as we remember I do know your always by my side!!
“See with ur ears not with your eyes”
Walk with me! I wish my walk on earth to be a long one and there’s no one I’d rather by my side....
Love you BooBear xoxo

Lindsay and I spent a lot of time together many years ago when I was a cook at the Motor Inn. Many a night we would sit and talk, mornings I would make her and her daughter breakfast in the dining room and then I'd sit and enjoy the spirit of the family around me. Great memories from my young adulthood and I will forever be grateful to have had a moment in time with Lindsay. May she now smile knowing how many loved her before, now and forever.

I am so sorry to hear about Lindsay. My heart is breaking for all of you. I was going thru photo albums and found some gems. My daughter Rebecca is the same age as Maddie and we had a few play dates with the girls. ( or should I say mom vent sessions ). I wanted to be there today to give my condolences in person, but am not able to, I'm sorry. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all. ❤️Dawn

I want to convey my deepest sympathy to Lindsay's family and Steven who is family to me. I had the pleasure of getting to know Lindsay when they lived in the Valley for a short time. There are very few people that you meet in this world that you instantly love.. LINDSAY was one of them. She had a kind, loving heart and gave great hugs. She will always be thought of with much love by the Shankels. RIP Lindsay. I know you'll be sharing many hugs in heaven.

Lindsay, I remember the beautiful smiling kid who would come to support the rugby team. Always full of kindness and warm hugs. I ran into you once since returning from a decade overseas, you smiled that big beautiful smile and gave me a giant, warm hug. We caught up a bit and you gushed about your daughter, how smart, how beautiful, how much you loved her. My heart goes out to your family. Rest in peace sweetie. I'll miss that beautiful smile.

So very sorry Bruce and Heather ... two of the girls flew back with me in the plane from Halifax to Sussex one weekend. We enjoyed them.
Words that I try to scrape from my mind, seem unbearably inadequate in the midst of such grief, I often come up empty.
Down here we have the sorrow with the reason…up there we will have the reason without the sorrow.
I assure you of our prayers,
Murray & Shirley McCandless

Oh Lindsay, What a girl. You made me laugh so many times all those years ago. We lost touch, but I thought of and asked about you often. To Heather, Bruce, Katie, Annie, Shannon and Maddie- you know how much I love and care about all of you. Sorry doesn't say it. So I'll leave it with my fondest memories of Lindsay. Chats in the Bridgewater motel kitchen, watching her drive a stock car and that catty grin. Priceless.

Heather, Bruce, Annie, Katie, and dear Maddie –
We are shocked and very, very saddened at Lindsay’s passing. We’ve gotten to know her very well these past years, and appreciate her love of the outdoors. She loved spending time at the cottage in Petpeswick, especially combing the beach for glass with Steve and Maddie. She found comfort and tranquility in quiet, serene places like that, which is why we must believe she is now resting peacefully in a better place. We will treasure the jar of glass she collected over the years, as it will act as a reminder to us of her presence in our lives. Please find comfort in knowing she was loved, accepted, and held a special place in our family. We will miss her terribly.

I know how much you loved friends and family and I will always remember the fun we had growing up next to you in Bedford. Our sleepovers and jeep car rides, listening to music and dance parties. I will always remember how much fun we had together. I love you and hoped we would connect again. Rest in peace Lindsay.
