Obituary of Anthony "Ian" Hall

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Anthony "Ian" Hall, 47 of Berwick. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ian Hall, our son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. Ian passed after a short, hard-fought illness on June 10, 2017 in the Valley Regional Hospital ICU. Born in Halifax on October 18, 1969, he graduated from St. Patrick's High School, was a Special Olympian and was employed by the Prescott Group in Halifax prior to his retirement. Ian always had a gracious demeanor and brought out the best in those who surrounded him. He made it his mission to personally acknowledge everyone in the room and left you with a smile and a good quote. He was the master of the last word, and had the uncanny ability to make everyone he met feel better about themselves. Ian followed sports as a way of life. He loved the WWE, NHL, NFL and MLB most with his favourite teams being The Maple Leafs and The Blue Jays, making for plenty use of his phrase, "Don't worry, next year." But, above all, Ian loved his family and friends. He is survived by his parents Howard and Wanda Hall of Berwick; siblings Andrew Hall and Erin (Stephen) Cyr; nephews William and Alexander Cyr; uncles Neil (Pam) Morton; Rennie (Tara) Morton; Wade (Anna) Morton; Hugh (Dawn) Morton; Rodney (Angela) Morton; Chris Hall and Leon Lutz; aunts Valerie (Wayne) Stefan; Debbie Stefan; Celia (Kris) Stevens and many special cousins from Nova Scotia and Ontario, with a special mention of Megan, Scott, Raina and Maddox Saunders. Ian was predeceased by his beloved aunt Carol Lutz and uncle Warren Stefan. The family would like to acknowledge the professional, compassionate and loving nursing staff in the Valley Regional Hospital Emergency and ICU departments. A Funeral Service will be held on June 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Serenity Berwick Funeral Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Prescott Group Society or Valley Regional Hospital ICU department. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Berwick Chapel, 192 Commercial Street Berwick (902-538-9900).
