Uncle Bob was special, he wasn't my biological Uncle but he was as close to family as they come. When I was young he would have me over to watch all the classics. I must have watched all the original James Bond movies. I remember at Halloween he would always have jumbo Chocalate bars for me. He lived not far from us.He had this contagious smile you couldn't help but be happy around him. He was genuine the real deal. His video store was the cornerstone of many happy memories, even after blockbuster showed up. I'm pretty sure it was called Silver screen or something like that. Bob was one of the good guys and over the years always treated me well. You will be remembered.
Rest in peace.

To all Bob's loved ones and his many friends, may you all make your memories fond, and may they bring you peace and comfort. I knew Bob as a policeman in Wolfville and having grown up there we had many chats about the town. I always enjoyed any time I spent speaking with him A man with a great mind and soul. He will be missed.

Bob was a neighbour, a friend, and a 'good guy' about town. He was an enthusiast, a person who always had a hearty greeting, and - in conversation - an interested enquiry about family members. I will miss you Bob, and thank you for your generous spirit.

To the dear family of my former roommate Bob, I send you my heartfelt condolences. I met Bob in 1998 at a dinner for Caribbean students. During this meeting, we discussed Bobs love for Caribbean gastronomy, and and international film. We also discussed my discomfort with the accommodation arrangements at Acadia dormitories, when he told me that he would have a room available at the start of the summer semester. That was the start of a mutually cordial and friendly relationship that lasted for 2 years. Bob always loved sharing his food, and his experiences with me while respecting socio-cultural differences. I greatly benefited from his generosity, hospitality, and kindness. Coming from a society where parents remain important part in the life of a young adult, my parents felt comfortable with our living arrangement, and was very grateful to Bob extending his home so that they would not need a hotel when coming for my graduation May 2000. We were all saddened to hear of this tremendous loss for the Brown family, and the community of Wolfville. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Cor 1:3) comfort you during this time of grief.
