Obituary of Danielle Marie-Jeanne Fortin
Please share a memory of Danielle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danielle Marie-Jeanne Fortin, 66. She was born and raised in Saguenay Lac Saint-Jean (Quebec), but lived most of her adult life in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. She died of cancer, peacefully, surrounded by her family, and by love.
She leaves behind her spouse, Paul Campbell, her children Isabelle and Michel-Antoine Fournier, her grandson Maxim Kemp, her sister and brother Anne and Michel Fortin, step children Christopher and Pamela Campbell, and granddaughter Chloe Campbell.
Her career spanned several provinces and decades: she worked in Ottawa for the National Film Board; in Moncton, she taught French for CN Rail; she was the director of the Memramcook Institute Language School during it's peak. She was then able to fulfil her dream of owning her own boutique and opened "Cornucopia Great Gifts and Fine Art" in Hillsborough New Brunswick where she could express her natural creativity and share her love for all things beautiful.
Her grace and gentleness touched many people, and her warmth and charm was unforgettable.
"Those people who touch our lives like precious jewels share with us the pleasures, the sadness, the laughter and tears of our dreams as we travel along the winding pathways of life.
But we can now know that nothing that is loved is ever lost, and no one who has touched our hearts can ever really go away. While we mourn their passing, we are grateful of the time we shared."
She is sorely missed.
At her request, there will be no service but a private celebration is being planned. Memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Red Cross or The Angel Fund in Moncton New Brunswick. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr. (902-679-2822).
