Obituary of Skye Marie States

Skye Marie States, 29 of Kentville passed away peacefully on August 6, 2017 in her home in Kentville after a lengthy illness of heart disease. Besides the love for her children, Skye held a love for gardening, favoring the Hybiscus flower. She had a Cardinal in her yard that would sit and chirp for her. She is survived by her sons Cameron Ryan and Brayden Issac of Kentville; mother Kim of Kentville; father Mike Royal of New Minas; sister Desiree of Windsor; grandparents Marilyn and Bayfield States of Kentville; special niece Aliyah (age 3) of Kentville; large family of four half siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. As well as many friends, for Skye was a friend to everyone. Skye was predeceased by her great-grandparents Willie and Lois Forsythe, Rita and Ray States and Winfred and Edith Schofield. A visitation will take place on August 10, 2017 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the Serenity Funeral Home in Coldbrook. A Funeral Service will be held on August 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Salvation Army on Nichols Avenue, Kentville. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
