Obituary of Roxanna Madeleine Davison

Roxanna Madeline Davison, 92 of Shannex, Blomidon Court, Greenwich, passed peacefully away on April 10, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born at the Lookoff, Canning, she was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Benjamin) Barkhouse. She worked at Hostess Foods (Scotties chips) and at Hillaton Frozen Foods (the pea plant) from which she retired in 1990. She was well liked by all her co-workers. She was gifted in many things like cooking and everyone loved her homemade bread and baked beans and she loved quilting. Lots of times she and her sisters could be seen sitting around the quilting frame talking and laughing. She also loved to knit things like mittens, gloves and especially socks. Roxanna also relished in the written word and enjoyed reading and her Seek-a-word. Roxanna is survived by daughters Roberta "Bobby" (Brian) Russell of Forest Home; Irene Davison of Halls Harbour; Sandra (Dean) Spencer of Gaspereau; Joyce Davison of Kingston; many grandchildren and several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband Robert; daughter Hazel; son George; brothers Joe, William, Harmon, Sandy; sisters Marjorie, Bertha, Emily, Mary, Laura and Cora. A visitation will take place on April 13, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on April 14, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the Wolfville Funeral Chapel. Family Flowers only.
