Charles Stanley Charlton Obituary

CHARLTON, Charles Stanley - 72, Bear River, passed away

Wednesday, June 16, in Digby General Hospital. Born in Milford,

Annapolis Co., he was the youngest son of the late Charles and Louise

(Pyne). He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Wamboldt), Bear River; sons,

Carroll (Cindy), Michael (Heather), both of Bear River; Stephen (Lisa),

Fort Saskatchewan, Alta.; daughter, Susan (Larry) Powell,

Lawrencetown; grandchildren, Dylan, Darci, Kaylla, Colton, Kyle,

Hannah and Avery; sister, Dora, Bridgetown; several nieces and

nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Leslie, Ralph, Donald and

Ira. In his early years he had a construction company, then went on to

enjoy life in his own way. He thrived in helping others, was a master

storyteller and never complained about what life dealt his way. A

memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 21 in Hillside United

Church, Bear River, reception to follow. No visitation by request. Family

flowers only. Donations in Charlie's memory may be made to Canadian

Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity
