Obituary of Louise Vivian Kinsman

Louise Vivian (Burns) Kinsman, 97, of Bridgetown, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully July 9, 2018 at Tideview Terrace, Digby. Louise was the daughter of Albert and Nellie Burns. She is survived by one sister Marjorie Williams and predeceased by her brother Edward Burns and her sister Audrey Sattler. Louise will be missed by her daughters, Betty (Rob) Stewart, London, Ontario and Lynn (Ken) Winter Bridgetown. She was a loving grandmother to Brent, Nicole, Erica, Mark and Adam and great grandmother to Cohen and Shay. In addition to her family, Louise is survived by a very close friend Maxine Ruggles. Maxine and Louise will be remembered for the many miles they walked together over the years. Louise was a member of the Bridgetown United Baptist Church and was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary. Louise's love for children spread to community and she tied countless skate laces for numerous children at the Bridgetown Skating Rink before donning her own skates. She worked for many years at her father's grocery store (A. J. Grocery) and later worked at Eatons and the Bridgetown Pharmacy. Louise will be remembered for her cheerful and friendly personality. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a service at the burial site at the Riverside Cemetery on Sunday, July 22 at 2 o'clock followed by a reception at her daughter's home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
