FORMER GOVERNER OF ACADIA PASSES AWAY. ( BOLD ) E. Louise Brownell - 94 Wolfville, N.S. passed away March 18, 2005 at home, Tideways 25 post Road. Born April 10, 1910 at Port Hasting, N.S. She was the daughter of the late William Howard and Susan McNutt ( Fraser ) Clough. She was a graduate of Truro Academy, and Acadia University in 1929 where she obtained a B. Sc. degree. She taught school at Glenhome, N.S. 1929 - 1930; and Baddeck Academy, Baddeck, N.S. 1930 - 1936. Until 1954 she lived in Halifax, N.S. before moving to Wolfville. She was active in church and community affairs, and was a member of the I.O.D.E. She was twice elected to the board of Governors of Acadia University, serving as secretary to the board. She was a member of Canada's Centennial for which she received Canada's Centennial Medal. She is survived by a son William Edward od South Berwick, N.S. daughter Emmy Sue French of Wolfville, N.S. , brother Howard Gordon Bud "" ( Hazel ) Clough of Sydney
