Rodney Grant Dykens, 56, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. He was the son of the late Leslie Dykens.

Rodney was a loving and devoted husband. He was a committed and hard working man, that was diligent in going above and beyond in all of his employment endeavors.  He continued to help others by being a donor.  When Rodney was not working, he enjoyed relaxing in his home watching T.V.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sheri Campbell; mother Myrna Dykens of Centreville; bothers Michael, Lyndon, Leon and Bruce; sisters Marlene, Rhonda and Roleen.

Sheri would like to thank the medical staff of the Medical B Unit at the Valley Regional Hospital, for their professional and caring service while taking care of Rodney during his stay there.

Cremation has taken place. In Keeping with Rodney’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral. Memorial donations in Rodney’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4P 1B9 (902-679-2822).
